Yongtao Yang has a Ph.D. (2006) in electrical engineering and a M.Sc. (1998) in electrical power system, from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden and CEPRI, China, respectively. He is a principal researcher at Det Norske Veritas (DNV), working to develop knowledge and new services for DNV towards the power system sector. Before joining DNV, he had been working with Statnett, STRI and CEPRI with modelling and analysis of power systems. This included integration of renewable energy sources and application of HVDC and FACTS.
